Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior v . p . of corporate development. Leveraging his significant hospitality industry expertise in both the corporate and consulting environments, he is going to be working company-wide on new product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, amongst others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Just before joining Hilton, Mirza was actually a senior executive inside the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was accountable for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career at First Financial, Inc. and opened the very first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes a long period of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates inside the parts of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he dealt with Alexander Mirza within the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries within the parts of customer strategy, new product development and repair innovation. Mirza holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, having a focus on brand marketing and corporate strategy. He also holds an M.A. in Economics and a B.A. Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
